Happy Halloween

Wednesday Mark took Valynn and Mason to breakfast at the local diner and then took Valynn to school. He was home from about 20 minutes before he took Kyra to school and had  Kyleigh with him. He attended Kyra's preschool Halloween party. Kyra did a parade threw the school and then played a game, did a craft, and had a snack. The ghosts I made were a big hit, or so I'm told. Mark then dropped the girls off at a friend of ours.

I took Mason to his allergist appointment. We were at the allergist for 4 hours on Wednesday. For the most part the results were inconclusive. Mason skin testing done and showed moderate allergies to dust and dustmites and mild allergies to cats, milk, peanuts, and white potatoes. For the time being we are to eliminate these allergens from his diet. Normally the allergist would say to eat these foods if they don't bother you because the reaction was so mild but because of Mason's history we're to eliminate these foods for now. Hopefully this is just a temporary situation but for now we are adjusting our diets to accommodate him and he has decided to save all the Halloween candy that he can't eat for later when he can. I have offered to substitute candy he can eat for that he can't.

Thursday Valynn had her 3rd grade scavenger hunt and I had the honor of driving 6 girls around Princeville. The teams were given a list of items to look for and they were to go to peoples houses to ask for the items. After the hunt she got hot dogs.

Friday Mark took the afternoon off and attended Mason's Costume parade around the school before heading over to Valynn's Halloween Party. Both kids had fun they had a treat, played games, and did a craft. I helped run Mason's party with a couple of other moms. Friday night we went to some friends for a bonfire. The kids got to go on a hayrack ride in the dark through the spooky forest.

Today we carved pumpkins before going to the Blue Ridge church Halloween party. The kids scored big on the cake walk as always. It was a beautiful day to play outside.

Tomorrow is a busy day, we have church and CCD in the morning. We're going to some friends for supper and some trick or treating before heading home to trick or treat on our street.
