48 Hours

Thursday night Mark and Mason collided at soccer practice and Mark hurt his knee. When we got home I had him ice his knee about a half hour later Mason started crying because his knee hurt, so I had him ice his knee. About 15 minutes later Kyra said her knee hurt, so she got some ice (I'm sure hers was a sympathy pain), and 5 minutes later Kyleigh needed ice for her knee.

Friday morning I took Kyra to preschool and then took Mark to prompt care. While at prompt care we ran into someone we haven't seen for about 5 years. We had a great visit because they were slow. The doctor thinks Mark has a bad sprain. It's still really swollen and he can't bend it yet so he'll probably have to be seen again. Friday morning my aunt and uncle called to see if we were free for them to spend the night since they had to travel to Springfield. We had a great visit with Rick and Cindy and cousin Ethan who is a few months older than Kyleigh. Saturday morning they went with us to Valynn's volleyball game. The girls won their first two games, they lost the third game but that was because I made them try to serve overhand. Valynn got an overhand serve over and was so excited. After the game we had to get Valynn's glasses adjusted, she got punched in the face this week(an accident) and her glasses wouldn't stay on. Saturday Rick and Cindy left and Mark and I headed up to the Stark County ipad auction as representative of the Princeville PTO. The auctioneer paid for our tickets as a way to promote his business. We also met my friends from Chillicothe there as they were looking for new ways to fundraise and their tickets were bought as well. We had a great time and came home with lots of ideas.

Yesterday we had soccer games. Both teams lost. Mason scored a goal. Kyra talked less, she only talked the whole game with 1 girl instead of all her teammates. She decided to play with this girls hair, pick dandelions, and do donkey kicks. She does a great job when she decides to play but her attention span is really limited.

After 5 years our yard is finally starting to come together. Yesterday our neighbor came over and leveled out our driveway, widened it a little, and the best part of all, I no longer have to mow the middle of the road because of the grass growing there. We have the usual week with piano, volleyball practice, CCD, and soccer practice followed by games this weekend. Mark flew to South Carolina this morning but should be back on Wednesday. This is the last week of CCD.

Have a good week!
