Where to begin...

We took the kids swimming on the 27th. The kids spent over 2 hours in the pool. We decided to spend a family day before the kids and I left Mark on his own for a week. On the 28th the kids had their first soccer games. Mason scored 3 goals and our team won. The kids did a great job and we were proud of them. This also means Mark and I survived our first game coaching. Valynn's team lost by a goal but they put out great effort. She did a good job. After the soccer games we headed to North Dakota. I made it to Faribault, MN the first night (6 1/2 hours). The next day we made it to Lignite, 11 1/2 hour drive. The kids did wonderful, thanks to Game Boys, DSi's, and DVDs.

We had a great time in ND, we helped Grandpa celebrate his birthday. We went to Canada for Chinese food. The kids played at the park a couple of days. Valynn and Mason helped unload the grocery truck at 6:00 one morning. They got to see the school that mom attended and where Grandma works. Mason helped Grandpa at an oil well. We dyed Easter eggs, the sewed Easter Eggs, and decorated foam eggs. The played the Wii against Brady and Jodi. Learned to drive the lawn mower and enjoyed the beautiful weather they had up there. It's not often you can play in the snow in short sleeves. We got to visit with some family but it was such a quick trip we couldn't fit everything in. We made it back on Monday and the kids did great on the ride home.

Mark got a lot of studying done while we were gone so he is about a week ahead on his quizzes. Last night we had our first asparagus from the garden, all the kids loved it except Kyra. Kyra has her Spring Break this week so it's nice to spend time at home getting caught up on some things.

Have a great week all!
