Will be here soon, but until then, we're taking it easy. I had a good birthday, pretty relaxing. Mason was at a friends house so the girls and I had appetizers for supper and watched movies. On the 22nd we went to the Browers for lunch, which is where Mason spent the night. After lunch and some play time for the kids we headed to piano lessons. Kyra had her first piano lesson. She was so excited. Mason had his first baseball game. He is playing the pitcher position. He was key in getting two double plays. He caught a pop fly and then got the ball to first base before the runner returned to base. Baseball is OK, but not fast enough moving for him.
On the 24th Kyra went to the dermatologist. She has been having problems with her eyes being red and itchy. The new medicine they gave her is working very well. On the 25th we watch the Padilla boys overnight. They came with us to Mason's baseball game. Mason had another good game. On the 26th we went to McComb to the Freres' property. The kids had a blast, they 4 wheeled, took out the paddle boat, went swimming in the pond, watched movies, and played. We came home on the 27th to do some work around the house. On Memorial Day we took it easy and went to the Johnson's for supper. The kids swam and played. Tuesday the 29th Mason had his third baseball game. He had a tremendous play where he caught a pop fly and then tagged the runner trying to run home. They have won all three games so far.
Last week the kids tackled their rooms. They went through every drawer and did a thorough cleaning. This week we are tackling the basement which will take a couple of weeks to finish. We finally got some much needed rain Monday night and today. Our garden was so dry we were hauling a tank of water every night to water the garden. Mark's been enjoying his new tractor, he helped the neighbors move dirt the first night he was home from his work trip. This week they put the mower deck on, he hasn't mowed the lawn yet but I'm sure he will this weekend. Valynn has been mowing the lawn the last couple of weeks which is a nice break for mom and dad. Mark will hopefully have a surgery date tomorrow for his knee. Mason also has a doctor's appointment tomorrow with the GI doctor.
Have a great weekend!
