Lions, and tigers, and monkeys, and .....

Last Friday was my first of three trips to the zoo. This trip was for Kyra's field trip and last day of school. She has now completed her first year of preschool, how scary is that. Can  you believe she is that old already. Kyra and Kyleigh had a great time at the zoo, they loved the animals. Kyra's favorite was the rhino and Kyleigh liked the monkeys, probably since she can imitate their sounds. Kyra had a great year in school and is excited about going back next year.

Kyleigh is starting to pick up a few more words and put more words together. She is now imitating some animals sounds; cow, duck, cat, and dog. She will say "tank  you" and "moe peas" (more please). She is still very random as to when she will talk but is starting to realize that when she talks the others pay attention to her.

Mason is home sick today, he had a fever yesterday and today is complaining about a headache, sore throat, and his stomach hurting.

We had a good weekend. We got quite a bit of work done around the house. Saturday we had teeball/ softball pictures and then Mason had practice. Mark and I worked in the garden and herb garden. We got newspaper laid down in the rows and hay/grass clipping put on top. Mark mowed the lawn and did the spin trimming. He finished the floor in the bathroom and the trim so the only thing left on our remodeling project is some touch up paint and the doors. Mark also started trimming the office with the hopes of having Mason moved in there by the end of the summer.

Mark starts his summer class tonight. Mondays and Wednesday from 5-10. He's not looking forward to it, but it's only for a month.  Tuesday I'm watching the neighbor boy. Valynn starts her softball games on Wednesday. On Friday I get to go to the zoo with Mason's class and Valynn has a softball game that night.

Have a great week, I'm excited to be able to take it easy this week.
