Summer 2016

It's been a hectic few months. Valynn did Scholastic bowl and her 8th grade team was undefeated the whole season. They got second at regionals. Track went OK for her and she placed 4th at sectionals. She had her 8th grade promotion in May and she spoke about scholastic bowl and their success.

Mason played rec basketball. His team didn't do very well but he enjoyed it. His soccer team won two championships. He went to state in the 4x100m and he place in the 100m, 200m, 4x100m (1st) and 4X400 at sectionals.

Kyra played soccer and volley ball. Their volleyball team won most of their games, her soccer team didn't fair as well but she had fun.

Kyleigh did tumbling during the winter and rec soccer in the spring. She won all her soccer games.

I took a coaching position as the head girls track coach, along with coaching Kyra's volleyball team, and helping coach Kyleigh's soccer team. Needless to say, there wasn't much family time but everyone got to where they needed to go.

Mark got a promotion and is learning the ropes of his new job at CAT. He coached Kyleigh's soccer team and helped cover me when I had a track meet.

This summer has been nonstop as well. Valynn and Mason were in ND while Kyra and Kyleigh and I were in MN for a week. Then the three of us join the rest in ND for a week. On our way back we dropped Valynn and Mason off at the farm for a week while the rest of us came home. We have a great time in ND. We golfed, swam, shot off fireworks, and went to the water slides.
