The last couple of weeks...

It's been a good start to the beginning of the year. The kids got their report cards. Valynn is the only one whose grades dropped. Science went from a 103% to a 102%. We were happy with the grades. I had to laugh as Mason's teacher wrote that he needs to speak up more in class. Kyra's teacher said she is a very conscientious student with a big personality. Yep pretty much describes our kids. Valynn's teacher didn't write anything.

Piano has started back up, Basketball started today, and tumbling has started. Mark went to Minnesota this week for a funeral. His aunt passed away so he went up for the funeral.

Mark's parents came last week for four days on their way to South Carolina. The 12th I attended a school board meeting as a PTO member to discuss the new addition to the school. Three hours of talking about money. That afternoon was the Cub Scout Pinewood Derby. Mason got third in his den. Valynn raced a truck but it didn't do very well. We finally made it to the new Riverfront Museum in Peoria. It was nice but no much for kids exhibits.

Thursday night I went out with a friend to Olio & Vino for a wine and food tasting. They sell wine and flavored olive oils. It was a lot of fun. Mark should be home tonight. Tomorrow I'm teaching Sunday School and we have our annual meeting.

Hope everyone has a good week. Everyone is home on Monday so we get to enjoy a long weekend.
